Polar Flowlink Great tool!
When I am done with a workout, I just put my Polar heart rate monitor face down in the center; it reads the info in about 10 seconds and uploads it into my polarpersonaltrainer.com account. That's it! Super easy! I do wish that the cord were longer, it's only about 8" long. I have to put it on my pc because that is the only platform it will reach. Amazon's price was about $20 less than some of the other vendors I was looking at so that makes it even better! Thanks Amazon!

I needed to purchase the Polar Flowlink to transfer data from my my Polar FT7 fitness watch to my computer. The instructions were straight forward. I downloaded the needed program, plugged the Flowlink into the USB port, placed the watch on the Flowlink, and the rest is done by the program.

This product does not come with the heart monitor, but it's necessary if you want to sync it! Its simple to use and improves a lot your interface with your treinament! if you have a monitor related woth this product, go for it!

I haven't had this for long, but so far it works perfectly. Quick and easy transfer of data from my polar F60 to my computer. Love it!

I have read quite a few of the reviews of very unhappy people who have not been able to get the Polar Flowlink to work correctly. I am fortunately one of those people who have had no problems. So far it has worked flawlessly. I am running Windows 7 Professional Edition. I followed the (sparse) instructions that came with the FlowLink, but the setup was very easy. I went to polarpersonaltrainer.com as instructed, set up an account and downloaded/installed the Polar WebSync software. I ran the software, placed my Polar RS300X on the Polar Flowlink as instructed. The Align light blinked a few times, then the Data light blinked and I received a "Synchronizing" message from WebSync. In about 5 seconds the data upload completed and then WebSync launched the polarpersonaltrainer.com website. Logged in and all my running data was in the "Diary". It's worked flawlessly each time since the initial installation.
So, maybe I'm just lucky, but I've been very pleased with the product.

I set this up on top of my CPU 'cause it was a handy place. It's never failed to work first time with my FT40.

I nearly decided not to by this item because of the number of negative reviews. I'm glad I changed my mind. It was simple to install on my iMac and has worked flawlessly from the beginning. It has proven to be an excellent tool for tracking my workouts.

I bought an FT7 several weeks ago and after trying to manually enter my training data on the polarpersonaltrainer website, I decided to try the FloLink. I already had my account set up and Polar WebSync downloaded on my laptop. All I did once I received my FloLink was plug in in to my computer, made a few point and click selections on the menu and then put my watch on it and - the data was downloaded! It couldn't have been any easier. Not sure why some other reviewers were having problems with their browsers supporting this - I use Google Chrome and I didn't have any problems at all. Now I can see the training zones graph, showing how long I spent in fat burning mode and fitness mode, my average HR and my max HR. Before I wasn't able to access this; maybe it's not an option when you are entering the data manually. Anyhow, the FloLink is definitely a time saver; glad I own one now.

I purchased the flowlink to upload data from my polar RS300. I am very happy. It took just a couple minutes to set up and works flawlessly every time. Quick transfer and no failures like with the previous method of transfer with the RS200. Only complaint is that it would be nice to include it for free or a lesser price bundled with the watch since most users will want to transfer the data. I use a PC. I read some negative reviews before taking the plunge on this device and I believe most of them were Mac users.

After reading negative reviews here, i was very concerned I'd have problems with this...but it's been 4 weeks & I've used it every day without a single problem whatsoever. It connects & uploads my stats flawlessly in seconds. I use Firefox & that's what I used to download the software. I attach it to my laptop which is usually sitting on my bed, so the surface isn't even that stable...just set the watch on it & it does it's thing, as it should!! LOVE IT!

The Flow Link I have came with my FT80. To me having a heart rate monitor without being able to download the data would be not an effective way to train. As the FT80 comes with the Flow Link, I found that it was the most cost efficent way to purchase a whole system. You plug in the Flow Link to a USB port, lay your watch on it and it does everything for you. All of your data is transfered and the Polar training website is opened. The Flow Link is an integral part of my training.

Make sure you aren't setting the flowlink on anything metal i.e. table, desk - metal will interfere. It reconizes and sincs within seconds. It isn't conpatable with all polar HRM's so make sure before you buy - go to www.polar.com if in doubt.

I attached the polar flow link to my iMac 27 after installing the downloadable software from Polar and my watch synched easily and has continued to do so flawlessly. I recommend the product.

I recently purchased the Polar flowlink from Amazon to go with my Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor. The flowlink is simple to use, you just plug it into your computers USB port, download the driver from the internet and it's ready to go. After registering with polar.com which sets up your account, you just place the polar watch, (after a workout) on the flowlink and it automaticly uploads the data from your workout into your polar file. The price on Amazon was the best I could find anywhere.

I find it very motivating to see this calendar fill up and missed days are glaringly obvious. I recommend this device if you are into measuring and recording you workouts.

The only reason I am leaving a review is because there are several reviews saying the Flowlink does not work or is unreliable. I connected it to a fairly old Windows XP laptop, downloaded the sync software, and have experienced no problems at all. It does exactly what it says it is intended to do. I have it on a flat, non-metalized table, which seems to be an issue for some people.

I just wanted to say that this device installed and operated perfectly on my HP notebook. I'm using it with an FT60 watch and there were absolutely no problems. I'm sorry to hear of some of the horror stories others have experienced but I have not been so afflicted. I did follow the advice of using Internet Explorer for the download instead of a different browser. If that prevented any problems, I don't know, but all I can say is that this is working great for me. I'll add that I'm using this with an FT60 and I had absolutely no problems with just setting the watch on the unit and watching the data upload. So MUCH better than the old Sonic Link method which just barely worked.

My wife and I have been using this product for the past several months. After reading previous reviews I wasn't sure of this product but it has worked from day one. We work out 3-4 days a week and has never given us any problems. It took a little time for setup but once everything was set, things has went forward without any problems.

if you use the polar heart rate and want to upload it to the web to keep track this is def the way to go.. I love it and keeps me motivated to keep working out everyday.

I have the Polar FT60 and bought the Flowlink so I could download and review my heart rate data from workouts. However, I was disappointed to discover that the FT60 only saves summaries of workouts (ie, X hrs in Zone 1, Y hours in Zone 2, etc.). I didn't find that information too useful for post-workout analysis... I would rather be able to see my heart rate over the duration of a workout. This is more a shortcoming of the FT60 though.
The Flowlink works great and as described. Just set your watch on it and a few seconds later, your workout is on your computer. Pretty straightforward and simple. Just make sure your watch logs the data you want before spending the money on the Flowlink!

(I run Windows Vista)
Including opening the package, downloading drivers and installation it took under five minutes until my FT40 was uploading the data.
The FlowLink is absolutely not a necessity, as one can manually key in all the data.
I am just too lazy, so this thing is perfect.
The cord is short, at 50 Centimeters right to the tip of the USB insert.
Oh well life is short too, too short to spend typing out all the data from my workouts ;-)
5 Stars performs exactly as advertised.
I will update this review if I encounter any issues within a reasonable time frame.

I had to adjust my Avast firewall before it would transmit but I don't guess that could be blamed on the Flowlink. Once I got the firewall adjusted it worked like a charm.

It works well with a PC (XP) with downloaded polar software. The compatible HRM -- mine is an FT7 -- is placed upside down in the receiver, the software is activated, popups appear, choices are made re data to be uploaded, and workout data is uploaded with options for adding more workout info and notes. Very nice system.
